WikiBioPharm:About
From WikiBioPharm
WikiBioPharm has been created for professionals in the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical industries to post or seek industry information.
Originally, this site was established for the exchange of ideas, concepts, and practices of validation in the biopharm industry. As compared to other industries, there is a lack of easily attainable standards for validation in biopharm. It becomes difficult to know what industry is doing. There is no central repository of information. Well,... here is wikibiopharm. Wikis are an online interface that allow the user to edit the website. Through a mass collaborative effort, we can define the validation knowledge base. This site won't ever be the ultimate authority on any subject (there is no guarantee the information is accurate), but it can be a great tool for all of us.
After this concept started to become a reality, it was quickly realized such thoughts extended beyond validation. So now things are expanding to calibration as well as listing FDA regulations and information. Even more future expansion is possible. It's really up to you (and everyone else in the industry) what the scope of this site becomes.
So, try it out. Write an "article". Even a few sentences or a rough outline will do wonders. If you would prefer not to start something new, then try editing something that is already there.
Wikis are easy to use and learn to edit.
